“Balmy” Monarda Series
I really like this series of Monarda. Some Monarda I’ve planted have been unexpectedly tall and a bit too spreading. But the Balmy series is perfect for me. It’s only about 8-10’ tall and makes a nice mound. It doesn’t spread around. It keeps to itself, which I like. The colors are very nice. I’ve planted Balmy Pink, Balmy Lilac, Balmy Rose and Balmy Purple. They can be used as edge plants in front garden borders. The rabbits ignore them, which is a huge plus. I don’t need to spray them with repellent. Two thumbs up.
